Vivek Agnihotri says 'time to work on The Delhi Files' after The Kashmir Files success

Vivek Agnihotri has announced his next film, The Delhi Files. The director said that it was important to make people aware of the Kashmir genocide with The Kashmir Files and he is thankful for its success.

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files was a tremendous success at the box office. Starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, it showed the brutal truth of the Kashmir Genocide. Now, director Vivek is ready to make his next film, The Delhi Files.

Vivek Agnihotri's directorial venture, The Kashmir Files witnessed phenomenal success at the box office. In a new Instagram post today, April 15, the director announced his next film, The Delhi Files. He wrote, “I thank all the people who owned #TheKashmirFiles. For last 4 yrs we worked very hard with utmost honesty & sincerity. I may have spammed your TL but it’s important to make people aware of the GENOCIDE & injustice done to Kashmiri Hindus. It’s time for me to work on a new film. #TheDelhiFiles (sic).”

The Kashmir Files tells the story of the atrocities endured by the Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. The film’s cast includes Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi, among others. A heart-wrenching tale of sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits,

Vivek Agnihotri took to Twitter to share a behind-the-scene video from The Kashmir Files sets and called the film the “biggest charity” and a “social service”. The caption read, "On the 3rd day of the shoot of #TheKashmirFiles, the unit started collapsing because of freezing cold. I spoke to the unit for 2 minutes about our purpose for making TKF and the efficiency became 200% after that. Big clap for the young unit for their sacrifice & service. #BTS (sic)."
