Visakhapatnam airport sees significant increase in passengers and flights in April 2025 compared to last year.
The number of passengers travelled and aircraft movements at Visakhapatnam airport increased in April this year compared to last year’s April, according to a release issued by Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association on Saturday
A total of 1,906 flights operated in April 2025, compared to 1,776 flights operated in April 2024, an increase of 7.32%. Similarly, a total of 2,44,665 passengers travelled in April 2025, compared to 2,19,265 passengers in April last year, an increase of 11.58%, said O. Naresh Kumar, vice-president of the association.
The number of passengers in international flights also increased in April this year. While 8,009 passengers travelled in international flights in April last year, it was 9,801 in April 2025, he said while adding that while 86 international flights operated in April 2025, they were 58 in 2024 April.
