Vijay's mother gifts Rashmika heirloom bangles at sangeet ceremony

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's wedding festivities have started in Udaipur with a sangeet ceremony. Highlight of the evening: Vijay's mother gifting heirloom bangles to Rashmika as a symbol of love and acceptance.

The sangeet celebrations of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverkonda have kickstarted their wedding celebrations in Udaipur. After a fun round of cricket as part of the Virosh Premiere League, the couple geared up for the sangeet function at the ITC Mementos hotel, Udaipur.

A source close to the couple shared that a rather heartfelt moment was in store with Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, gifting heirloom bangles to Rashmika as per tradition.

“In a heartfelt gesture, Vijay’s mother will present Rashmika with traditional heirloom bangles during the sangeet ceremony, symbolising acceptance, love and family legacy,” the source shared shortly before the Sangeet ceremony.

The couple is set to get married on February 26 in Udaipur in a private, intimate and traditional function. Further ceremonies leading up to the wedding are also expected to follow on February 25.

Vijay and Rashmika will also host a reception in Hyderabad on March 4 for industry colleagues and friends.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna first worked together on the 2018 Telugu hit Geetha Govindam. Their on-screen chemistry quickly catapulted them to a fan-favourite status, and they later reunited for Dear Comrade in 2019.
