Vijay Deverakonda resumes last leg of Liger shoot, film to release on August 25

Vijay Dverakonda is presently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Liger. Producer Charmme Kaur shared a photo from the film sets.

Vijay Deverakonda is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film's shooting is nearing completion. On February 4, producer Charmme Kaur took to social media to reveal that the last leg of the shooting has begun. Liger is a boxing-based film with Vijay Deverakonda playing the role of a boxer. The film is slated to release in theatres on August 25.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's Liger is one of the most anticipated films of 2022. The sports drama is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar. Liger was postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

On February 4, Charmme Kaur, one of the co-producers of Liger, took to Twitter to share a photo from the film sets. She wrote, "Last leg of #LIGER schedule (sic)."

Liger is a sports action film, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. Boxing legend Mike Tyson has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film. Interestingly, Liger marks Mike Tyson's acting debut in Indian cinema.

Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, Liger also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Ali, Vishu Reddy, Makarand Deshpande, Getup Srinu and Abdul Quadir Amin in supporting roles.
