India Today
A passenger discovered a piece of metal in the meal provided aboard Vande Bharat sleeper train. IRCTC has responded to the viral post.
A travel vlogger has sparked concern online after alleging that he found a piece of metal in a meal served onboard a Vande Bharat sleeper train, raising fresh questions about food safety in the premium rail service.
The user, who goes by the name JSK Travelogue, shared the experience on X, alleging that the foreign object was discovered while he was eating dinner during his journey on train number 27576.
“Nickel piece found in dinner in Vande Bharat sleeper (27576). Who will be responsible for my life? Staff says we will change the food. If I suffered some serious health condition will they change me to my family?” he wrote in his post.

Addressing questions about the clarity of the object, he added in a follow-up post, “I have consumed the food and found it under my teeth I have taken this picture after showing to onboarding staff. Co-passengers are there to verify it.”
