
Uttarakhand schools to remain closed till January 31

Like other states, Uttarakhand Government has announced to close the schools and other educational institutions till January 31.
Uttarakhand schools will remain closed till January 31. All institutions, including schools, colleges, Anganwadi Centres among others will remain closed due to the Covid-19 condition in the country. “In a letter dated Jan 22, Uttarakhand Govt extends COVID restrictions in the state till January 31. All Anganwadi Centres and educational institutions up to 12th standard remain closed, online classes to continue,” ANI tweeted.
Earlier, the state government had ordered the closure of all the educational institutions till January 22. Even Uttar Pradesh had also made the same announcement. However, now, both the states have extended it till January 30.
Before this, the announcement of shutting schools till January 16 also came. However, no night curfew or other restrictions were imposed then.
It is not ascertained if the closure will further be extended after January 31, 2022. Moreover, online classes are taking place in the state like in other states.
