Uttarakhand: Bipin Rawat’s village mourn his death, uncle says ‘proud of him’

A pall of gloom has descended on Uttarakhand’s Saina village in Pauri Garhwal district. It is the ancestral village of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Singh Rawat, who died in a chopper crash in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

His uncle, Bharat Singh Rawat, a retired army man, said General Bipin Rawat maintained his contact with Uttarakhand and particularly his village.
