Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) of crumbling the economy of Uttar Pradesh and credited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with bringing a turnaround in five years in the State.
He also said the 2022 elections are for "strengthening Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hands and for making Yogi chief minister again".
"SP and BSP's 'babua and bua" both had crumbled the economy of such a big State as Uttar Pradesh, the economic system was on the seventh spot in the country which was brought to second spot by Yogi ji in five years. Give another chance of five years and it will be taken to the first spot," Mr. Shah told an election meeting in Auraiya.
Leaders and legislators hailing from Ballari, which is part of the Kalyana Karnataka region, seem to be a source of much political upheaval in Karnataka, going by recent history. Raghupathi Bhat claimed on Saturday that he contesting the Legislative Council elections from South West Graduates’ Constituency as rebel candidate made the saffron party field its party leader C. T. Ravi in the biennial elections to the Legislative Council from the Legislative Assembly.
