Telugu star Nani says Jersey is and always will be my film, but Shahid's version will be hit

Fresh out of the success of Shyam Singha Roy, Natural Star Nani predicts Shahid Kapoor's Hindi version of Jersey will be a "blockbuster", but it will always remain his film. Nani played the lead role in the original Telugu version in 2019.
Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor, is all set to release in theatres on December 31. The film is a remake of the Telugu hit of the same name that originally featured Natural Star Nani in the lead role. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri has directed both the Hindi and Telugu versions of the sports drama.
The original Telugu version of Jersey received positive reviews from fans as well as critics. Natural Star Nani is expecting the same response for the Hindi version with Shahid Kapoor as well. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, the Shyam Singha Roy actor said, "I am very confident that it [Jersey] will do very well and [I am] sure it will be a blockbuster." Ask the actor if he has had the chance to watch the Hindi version, and he responds, "I haven't watched the Hindi version, I'm looking forward to seeing what they have done."
