Telangana plans to launch Ease of Doing Business 2.0 policy to enhance investment and industrial growth in the state.
IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Tuesday said the Telangana government will soon roll out the Ease of Doing Business 2.0 policy as part of its strategy to position the State as a preferred global investment destination.
The policy would be developed through stakeholder consultations with the objective of accelerating industrial growth, strengthening investor confidence and providing greater assurance to investors, the Minister told GrowthX 2026 summit organised by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) here.
Emphasising that growth must be planned, he said the government had prepared the Telangana Vision 2047 to guide long-term economic expansion. The State, currently a $200-billion economy, aims to grow to $1 trillion by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. To achieve these goals and ensure balanced regional development, the government has adopted a three-pronged strategy of CURE, PURE and RARE under which every region, from urban centres to rural areas, will be placed on the growth path.
With technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Industry 5.0 reshaping work culture and business models, future competitiveness would depend on strong ecosystems rather than individual companies. The State government seeks to function not merely as a regulatory authority granting approvals, but as a collaborative partner working alongside industry, Mr. Sridhar Babu said.
FTCCI president R. Ravi Kumar said that while industry appreciates the government’s efforts toward improving EoDB, the cost of doing business continues to rise and needs attention.
BJP State president N. Ramchander Rao, AIG Hospitals Chairman D. Nageshwar Reddy and Co-founder and CEO of Skyroot Aerospace Pavan Kumar Chandana spoke.
