
TANKER’s Retteri unit gets 4 new haemodialysis machines

Inauguration of new haemodialysis machines at TANKER Foundation with Rotary Club support for kidney care in Tamil Nadu.
Four new haemodialysis machines were inaugurated at the Retteri dialysis unit of the Tamilnad Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation.
As per a press release, the machines were launched with the support of the Rotary Club of Chennai Towers (RI District 3233) in collaboration with United Metal Industries and the Rotary Club of Chennai Central Elite. The new equipment was commissioned by Mahaveer Bothra, governor, RI District 3233, in a ceremony attended by Rotary members and TANKER Foundation officials.
Founded in 1993, TANKER currently operates 14 dialysis units across Tamil Nadu, offering subsidised dialysis and financial assistance to those in need. The release said that during the event, Mr. Bothra expressed his admiration for TANKER’s dedication to kidney care and pledged continued support from the Rotary Club.
Georgi Abraham, founder-trustee of TANKER, highlighted the urgent need for more dialysis services in India. Latha A. Kumaraswami, Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation, thanked Rotary Club of Chennai Towers and all donors for their continuous support.
