State government's 'Karuthalum Kaithangum' adalats address complaints at taluk level, led by Ministers Riyas and Abdurahiman.
The State government’s taluk-level adalats named ‘Karuthalum Kaithangum’ began in the district on Friday. The inaugural adalat took place at Nilambur, which dealt with 791 complaints from the people of the taluk.
Out of the 432 complaints received through online earlier, 187 were settled. As many as 359 complaints were filed directly at the adalat, which would be addressed within two weeks.
Minister for Public Works P.A. Mohamed Riyas and Minister for Sports V. Abdurahiman led the adalat. They will lead the adalat for Perinthalmanna taluk on Saturday at Kalyani Kalyanamandapam, Angadipuram. There will be seven adalats for seven taluks in the district.
The Ministers examined the complaints filed online and found a solution to most of them. The fresh complaints received at the adalat would be examined within two weeks, said Mr. Riyas and Mr. Abdurahiman.
Apart from the Ministers, P.V. Abdul Wahab, MP, P.K. Basheer, MLA, District Collector V.R. Vinod, Perinthalmanna Sub Collector Apurva Tripathi, Assistant Collector V.M. Arya, and Additional Divisional Magistrate N.M. Meharali took part in the adalat.
Inaugurating the adalat, Mr. Abdurahiman said that finding solutions to people’s problems by taking them into confidence was the style of the State government. He exhorted government officials to remain vigilant to address people’s complaints in time.
“In the adalat, Ministers examine such complaints that could not be addressed by officials. This is the second time taluk-level adalats are being held by this government. We could address the woes of the people to a great extent,” he said.
