Sumbul Touqeer on her exit from Imlie: 'Didn't expect I would bid adieu so soon' | Exclusive

Sumbul Touqeer has opened up about her exit from the TV show, Imlie. The actress said she didn't expect to bid adieu to Imlie so soon.

About a month ago, Sumbul Touqeer shared the news of her exit from her hit TV show, Imlie. The actress played the titular role on the show, opposite Fahmaan Khan. Rumours of her exit from Imlie had been doing the rounds for a while and she confirmed the same with Fahmaan via a video on social media. Now, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Sumbul opened up about her exit from the TV show.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaToday.in, Sumbul Touqeer revealed that it wasn't her decision to quit Imlie. "It wasn't my decision to leave Imlie. It was a decision that was made by the makers. And it was very tough for me because I didn't expect that I would bid adieu to Imlie so soon. Later, I understood that it is important to move on so that I could do something different. Bigg Boss is a 'move on' thing for me," she said.

After her exit from Imlie, Sumbul Touqeer has now entered the Bigg Boss 16 house. The actress, 18, is the youngest contestant on the show. Revealing why she decided to sign up for BB 16, Sumbul said, "I think the reason for doing Bigg Boss 16 is that it is a very different kind of a show. And I wanted to do something different."

The actress further added that she doesn't have any game plan for the show as such. "I just want to play the game as Sumbul Touqeer, the way I am in real life. Zyada kuch nahi karna chahti main," she added.
