Schools are reopening across India and with the national capital of Delhi joining the fray on August 27, a major step has been taken towards the new normal after Covid-19. Most schools are reopening in phases, with limited attendance, social distancing protocols and SOPs to be strictly followed for safety of students, teachers, staff, and parents. Over 55 doctors and academicians also wrote a letter to higher authorities such as the PMO and the CMs of various states in India, the Disaster Management Authority and others, listing the number of reasons why schools should reopen now and why primary classes should reopen on priority.
