
Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University’s 13th Convocation to be held tomorrow

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University hosts its 13th Convocation on March 30, 2026, honouring 415 graduates and distinguished achievements.
Governor Dr. S. Abdul Nazeer, along with his wife, will attend the 13th Convocation Ceremony of the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) at its Tirupati campus on Monday (March 30, 2026).
Prof. Niteen V. Patil, Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. J.V. Ramana, Vice Chancellor of SVVU will present the university progress from July 2023 to August 2024 period.
Addressing the media here on Saturday (March 28), Mr. Ramana said, “A total of 41 (27 constituent and 14 affiliated) institutions are functioning under the university to serve the State and its stake holders in the domain areas of education, research and extension activities.”
“As many as 415 students will receive their degrees, and 17 students receive a total of 38 gold medals for their education excellence during their course of study. Several sponsored awards will be presented to the staff and students for their achievements,” he added.

Stating that the High Court of Karnataka has stayed two of the four conditions imposed by the Dakshina Kannada Regional Transport Authority regrading permits to operate electric autorickshaws in Mangaluru, Youth Electrical Auto Chalakara Sangha, Mangaluru, on Saturday, urged the RTA to extend the March 31 deadline to apply for permits.
