India Today
A son's effort to buy earrings for his mother on her birthday has won hearts on social media for its wholesomeness and the child's gesture for his mother.
A young boy visited a woman’s stall to buy earrings for his mother’s birthday, and the wholesome moment has now melted hearts across social media.
Adishree, who runs a hair accessory and jewellery Instagram page, shared the video on her account, where she captured the touching interaction with what she described as her “cutest customer.”
In the now-viral clip, the camera focuses on the young boy as he carefully scans through the different earring options displayed at the stall. Curious about his visit, the woman asks him if the purchase is for his mother. The boy nods and asks the price of a pair he likes.
When she tells him it costs Rs 40, the boy quietly removes his school bag from his back and begins counting the money in his hands, carefully checking how much he has. As he continues counting the small notes and coins, the woman notices the effort he is putting in.
Moved by the gesture, she gently tells him to simply give whatever amount he has. She then adds that his mother is very lucky to have a son like him.
The brief exchange captures a simple but emotional moment - a child trying his best to buy a birthday gift with the little money he has, while the stall owner responds with kindness and encouragement.

A dive into the world of Zoroastrianism and Vedas shows us how Indians and Iranians have been sharing languages, Gods, sciences and a sacred fire for thousands of years.
