The Directorate General of Training (DGT) and Skill India will be organising National Apprenticeship Mela 2022 across India at more than 700 locations.
Skill India will be organising an ‘Apprenticeship Mela’ across the country on April 21 21, 2022 in partnership with the Directorate General of Training (DGT). This Apprenticeship Mela will be organised in more than 700 locations throughout India. The initiative aims to support the hiring of over 1 lakh apprentices while assisting employers in tapping the right talent, in addition to developing it further via training and providing practical skillsets.
Over 4000 organisations across more than 30 sectors will be participating in this ‘Apprenticeship Mela’.
This includes sectors like power, retail, telecom, IT/ITeS, electronics, automotive and more.
Additionally, the candidates will be able to engage and select from over 500 trades including welder, electrician, housekeeper, beautician, mechanic etc.
At the 'Apprenticeship Mela', students who have cleared at least Class 5 through those who have graduated from Class 12 are eligible to apply.
Also eligible are students with skill training certificates, ITI students, diploma holders, and graduates.
