The state government has informed the Assembly that there is a shortfall of over 9,000 classrooms in different government-run primary schools.
On Monday, the Gujarat government informed the Assembly that there is a shortfall of over nine thousand classrooms in various government-run primary schools. While responding to the questions raised by Congress MLAs, the Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama informed that these classrooms will be built as soon as possible. In a list of 33 districts which has a shortage of classes, the tribal-dominated Dahod district has topped the list with a shortfall of 1,087 classrooms. It is followed by Banaskantha with 662, Anan with 596, Bhavnagar 506, and Bharuch with 496.
