Former RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das appointed as Principal Secretary-2 to the Prime Minister, co-terminus with PM's term.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, on Saturday (February 22, 2025) appointed former RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das as the Principal Secretaryt-2 to the Prime Minister with effect from the date he assumes the office. It also added “that his appointment will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders.”
The current Principal Secretary-1 to the Prime Minister, P.K. Misra retained his position, the notification further added.
