Schools reopening 2022: With Covid-19 cases getting under control, several state governments are still keeping their educational institutions closed for the safety of the students. However, a few state governments have decided to reopen their schools following strict Covid-19 SOPs. Schools in Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Rajasthan will reopen from February 1.

The Telangana government has decided to reopen its schools from February 1. On Saturday, the state government announced to reopen all educational institutions. In a statement, Education Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy said Covid-19 norms should be followed strictly in educational institutions.
The Jharkhand government has decided to reopen its schools for the students of classes 1 to 12 from February 1. The proposal has been sent to Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take the final decision. The final announcement about reopening the Jharkhand schools will be announced on January 31, 2022.
Jharkhand Education Minister Jagannath Mahto said, "online calls are not successful at all. Government school children are also being affected. Many states are re-opening schools. Preparations are being made in the state to reopen schools in Jharkhand too.
The Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, has announced that schools in Pune will reopen from February 1. Students of classes 1 to 8 will be attending schools in Pune city and district for half of the regular timings. While students in classes 9 to 10 will attend school at regular timings, colleges will also function normally in Pune. But parental consent will be needed for students to attend physical classes.
Following the same trend, Chandigarh schools are also ready to reopen from February 1 for physical classes. Further, colleges and other educational institutions are also allowed to reopen.
