Samsung Galaxy M53 5G launched in India and aims to take on the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE 2, which was unveiled few weeks ago. Here's a closer look at specifications, price and everything else about Samsung Galaxy M53 5G.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G has been officially unveiled in India. The new Samsung smartphone has been launched in India for a starting introductory price of Rs 23,999, going upto Rs 25,999. These prices are inclusive of Rs 2,500 instant discount on shopping with ICICI credit card. This one succeeds the Galaxy M52 5G, which has been available in the country since last year.

With the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is clearly aiming to take on the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, which launched in India recently. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is soon going to unveil the liter version, dubbed the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. And also the OnePlus 10R.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G succeeds the Galaxy M52 and brings many improvements. Firstly, the phone is very well balanced and light weighted despite sporting a 5000mAh battery inside. Notably, this one too doesn’t come with a charger.

Specifications are the same as the global version. It comes packed with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in two colours green and blue.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 12-based One UI 4.2 out of the box. Samsung offers 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging, but there’s no charger in the box.On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G includes a quad-camera system consisting of a 108-megapixel primary sensor coupled with an 8-megapixel sensor and 2-megapixel macro and depth. This makes the Galaxy M53 5G the first device in the series to get a 108-megapixel sensor. On the front, there’s a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
