Samantha is reported to be the second highest paid actress in the South after Nayanthara. The U Turn actress has increased her remuneration after back-to-back hits.

Samantha, who is hailed as the Queen Bee of South India, is reportedly the second highest-paid actress. The actress's growth in the last 12 years has been phenomenal and an inspiring tale for aspiring actresses. While Nayanthara is the highest-paid actress, Samantha comes second. After back-to-back successes in the last couple of years, the Oh Baby actress has hiked her remuneration.

Samantha was last seen in Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise. She grooved to the famous Oo Antava song in director Sukumar's film. Now, reports are doing the rounds that she is the second highest-paid actress in South India.

According to multiple reports, Samantha charges between Rs 3 crore to Rs 5 crore for her films. Depending on the production house and a lot of other factors, the actress will quote her remuneration accordingly. It is said that Samantha charged a whopping Rs 5 crore for her special song in Pushpa: The Rise.

Samantha's image has grown leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. From being a part of commercial films to shouldering women-centric movies, the actress has challenged herself in the last couple of years.

Samantha is eagerly waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal will release in theatres on April 28.

After Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Samantha is shooting for her forthcoming film, Yashoda. She also has Shaakuntalam, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with Shantharuban and foreign film, Arrangements of Love.
