Rohit Shetty believes Cape Town is 'lucky' for Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 | Exclusive

In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Rohit Shetty mentioned that Cape Town is lucky for Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. The new season of the show was shot there.

After actors like Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Arjun Kapoor, it was director-producer Rohit Shetty who proved to be lucky for stunt reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi. Rohit has not just been a host for 7 seasons, but he is also the one who gave the 14-year-old show a new flavour and maximum ratings as well. A few days ago, Rohit Shetty was shooting for the 12th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi in Cape Town. Team India Today.in caught up with Rohit at the famous Table mountains of Cape Town and he took us through the making of the show and shared his journey from a director to a TV host.

This is Rohit’s 7th season of the stunt reality show, which is mostly shot in Cape Town, the popular destination for many Bollywood movies. It is also a place Rohit feels is apt for Khatron ke Khiladi. "Cape Town is special and lucky for Khatron Ke Khiladi . We have shot four seasons in Cape Town and the city is always fascinating .I was supposed to shoot Diwale here but there were some constraints and we had to go to Bulgaria, but with a South African crew, I will be shooting one of my films in Cape Town," said Rohit.

Rohit Shetty further added how Cape Town offers a lot of things for the stunt-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. "For a stunt show like Khatron ke Khiladi, South Africa, especially Cape Town, offers terrain, be it sea, dessert , greenery, wildlife as well as mountains. More importantly, the stunt team here is the best . It’s a responsibility for me which the viewers have given me. So, when I am planning and shooting here, we aim to create something new every season. We have a loyal audience every year during the 3 to 4 months of the telecast and kids especially love the show. We aim to show something that they have not seen earlier in previous seasons and that’s the biggest challenge. Till now, we have been successful at this and this season, also viewers are going to see some new stunts as well," he added.
