Rhino injured in road accident in Assam's Kaziranga National Park

A one-horned rhinoceros was injured when a speedy vehicle hit it on National Highway (NH) 37 at Haladhibari animal corridor under Kahora forest range in the Kaziranga National Park.

A one-horned rhinoceros was injured in a road accident in Assam's Kaziranga National Park on Thursday. The incident occurred when a speedy vehicle hit the rhino on National Highway (NH) 37 at Haladhibari animal corridor under Kahora forest range in the park. According to the park authorities, a TATA DI vehicle, bearing registration number AS-12 BC-8964, knocked down and injured the rhino which was crossing the NH 37. The highway runs through the Kaziranga National Park. Forest and police personnel reached the spot immediately and seized the vehicle.
