
RedmiBook Pro 2022 to launch on March 17: Here’s all we know about the upcoming laptop

Redmi Book Pro 2022 will be unveiled later this week on March 17. While Redmi has managed to keep most of its details under wraps, a leak suggests that the new RedmiBook Pro will be equipped with 12 generation Intel processor.
Redmi recently confirmed the launch of the Redmi K50 series on March 17. Now, the company has revealed that it will launch RedmiBook Pro during the same event. An announcement poster was shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo to confirm the launch of the upcoming laptop.
The official poster hints at top-notch performance. It notes “challenge the peak performance of thin and light notebooks”, which indicates that the laptop will pack top-of-the-line hardware while keeping weight and thickness in check.
The RedmiBook Pro launched last year will now be replaced by the RedmiBook Pro 2022. The predecessor arrived in India last year, so we are assuming that the laptop will debut in India soon after its launch in China. As far as the China launch is concerned, it will take place at 4 PM IST on March 17.
The tech giant hasn’t revealed any other details of the laptop, but a previous GeekBench 5 listing gives us a peek at the expected chipset. According to the benchmark site, the upcoming RedmiBook Pro will be offered in a bunch of variants out of which one will be equipped with the 12th gen Intel Core i7-12650H chipset. The device scored 800 in the single-core and 11872 in the multi-core tests, which hints towards improved performance on the upcoming model.
Bluetooth SIG listing of the alleged RedmiBook Pro was spotted previously. As per the listing, Redmi will launch seven different models of RedmiBook Pro 14 and Redmi Book Pro 15 at the upcoming event.
The listing showed that the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 will be offered in three variants with model numbers RMA2201-AG, RMA2201-BB, and RMA2201-BG. The RedmiBook Pro 15 is expected to come in four variants with model numbers RMA2202-AD, RMA2202-BD, RMA2202-AI, and RMA2202-BI. The listing also confirmed support for Bluetooth 5.1 and Windows 11 OS.
