Rajasthan Police busts fake vehicle registration scam, RTO employee among 2 arrested

Police in Rajasthan have arrested two people, including an RTO employee in connection with a fake vehicle registration scam.

The Rajasthan police has busted a fake vehicle registration scam. As many as 45 trucks were fraudulently registered with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Jaipur as part of this scam, said officials. So far two people, including an RTO employee, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the matter. The police claims that these vehicles could be involved in criminal activities and more arrests are likely to follow. The police investigation has revealed that these trucks were purportedly shown to be purchased from a showroom in Haryana with different companies, including Ashok Leyland and TATA, as makers.
