Rajasthan Congress passed a resolution on Saturday, September 17, stating that Rahul Gandhi should be made the party’s next President.
Rajasthan Congress has passed a resolution stating that Rahul Gandhi should be made the party’s President.
A meeting of Pradesh Congress Committees is being held in each state wherein a resolution is being passed stating that “we authorise the incoming Congress president to appoint PCC and AICC members.” However, apart from this, another resolution, which was proposed by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, was also passed stating that Rahul Gandhi be made Congress Chief.
Talking to the media, Rajasthan Minister PS Khachariyawas said, “A resolution was passed that everyone will abide by whatever the national president decides on, including the appointment of state presidents. Another resolution moved by CM Ashok Gehlot to appoint Rahul Gandhi as party president has also been passed.”

Meanwhile, Puducherry Pradesh Congress also, through a resolution, demanded that Rahul Gandhi be made the next Congress President. According to sources, Himachal Pradesh state unit will also be passing a similar resolution during its September 19 meeting.
