Quarantine not justified, Omicron less pathogenic, says Defence Ministry policy for armed forces

The policy, which is now implemented in all the three defence forces, and the Indian Coast Guard, stated that people have additional protection from infection due to either from vaccination or having been infected naturally with the disease.
At a time when the country is witnessing a steep rise in Covid cases, the defence ministry has implemented a policy in the armed forces, which says quarantine was not justified in view of past experiences, even as it suggested that the Omicron variant of virus was less pathogenic than its predecessors.
