Prince of Arcot hosts Iran's Supreme Leader's representative, highlighting cultural ties and calls for enhanced India-Iran partnerships in Chennai.
The Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, on Sunday hosted Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran, at Amir Mahal, during his visit to Chennai.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ilahi said that the relationship between India and Iran is deeply civilisational and anchored in history, culture, and mutual respect. He called for renewed momentum in cultural, educational, and economic partnerships, while emphasising that nations must work together with conviction to advance global peace.
Mr. Ilahi later visited the historic Wallajah Big Mosque in Triplicane, where he offered evening prayers.
