Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on Saturday said, well-planned infrastructure for the judiciary will help in providing effective and dignified justice to the common people.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new court complex building at Anemajalu in Puttur constructed by the Karnataka Public Works Department, at a programme organised by Dakshina Kannada District Judiciary, PWD and the Puttur Bar Association.
Stating that the number of people from Karnataka in the Indian judicial system was large, Mr. Nazeer said the court complex in Puttur portrays foresightedness of the administration. One should have rightful conduct first before asking others to follow the righteous path, he said.

Mr. Nazeer, who began his address in Tulu by saying, “Manteregla Namaskara,“ continued his speech in Kannada and English. The retired Supreme Court judge said he felt like being an advocate again upon visiting Puttur. Referring to the Mahalingeshwara Temple and the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Kshetra, he reminded the great men of the era, Koti-Channaiah. He said that the image of Puttur would change during the time of MLA Ashok Kumar Rai.
Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka Vibhu Bakhru said, the High Court was giving priority to modernisation of courts. Justice could not be rendered by developing infrastructure alone, he said, adding the system becomes successful when judges, lawyers and the staff actively involve in the process.
