Paras Kalnawat, in an exclusive chat with Indiatoday.in, has opened up about his decision to quit Anupamaa. The actor said that his growth had stopped in the show.

The last few months have been nothing less than a roller-coaster ride for Paras Kalnawat. The actor, who was an integral part of Anupamaa, chose to quit the popular TV show. He quit the Rupali Ganguly-starrer show to be a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. Paras played the role of Samar in the show. Cut to now, Paras is all set to participate in JDJ 10. Ahead of the show's premiere, Paras exclusively spoke to IndiaToday.in and opened up about quitting Anupamaa.

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Paras Kalnwat said that he was mentally prepared to take the risk of quitting Anupamaa and joining the dance reality show.

"I was mentally prepared. Life mein you have to grow and meri growth kahi na kahi ruk gayi thi mere pichle show [Anupamaa] mein. And when I was offered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, mujhe laga vo growth vapas se shuru karneka mauka mujhe mil gaya hain. After that, I didn't think about anything and said let's just go for this. Let's go for this reality show. Baaki ka jo hoga dekha jaayega. But today I want to say that, after taking this decision, I am very happy. I see my growth from here onwards. The way I am working hard and the way rehearsals are happening, vo mehnat mujhe nazar aa rahi hain. So, I want this journey to be beautiful," Paras said.

(You have to grow in life and my growth had somehow stopped in my previous show. When I was offered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, I took it as an opportunity to grow again.)

Further, in a conversation with us, Paras revealed the reason why he decided to sign up for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. "My biggest reason for saying yes to this show is that I have always dreamt of being a part of a reality show. And when it is about a dance reality show, bachpan se dekhta aa raha hoon, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is larger than life. It is coming after five years. And when I got to know that I was getting a chance to be a part of a show like this, I couldn't say no to it. That was a moment when I had no second thoughts. I just said yes to the show, " he added.
