Palnadu District Collector assesses public petitions in villages, ensures prompt action, and strengthens grievance resolution through direct interactions.
Palnadu District Collector P. Arun Babu visted a couple of villages to directly assess the response of government officials to public petitions. The District Collector toured Nadendla Mandal on Friday (March 28) and interacted with petitioners from Appapuram and Irlapadu villages.
At Appapuram, he met with petitioner Mastan Vali, who had requested the establishment of a new village secretariat, citing that the existing one was 10 km away and that the village had a population exceeding 3,000. Taking note of the concerns, the Collector assured that a report would be submitted to the government for further action.
Later, at Irlapadu, the Collector spoke with Ranganathula Brahmayya, who complained that officials had failed to conduct a land survey to determine his property boundaries. In response, the Collector immediately instructed the Deputy Inspector of Surveys to carry out the required measurements without further delay.
During his visit, he also observed chili crops being dried in the village and advised farmers to take necessary precautions to prevent moisture accumulation due to fog and rain.
This initiative builds on the existing practice of the District Collector personally addressing grievances over the phone every Monday afternoon. Now, with the launch of the Praja Samasya Pariskara Vedika (Public Grievance Redressal Platform), direct interactions with complainants will further strengthen the effectiveness of grievance resolution, the Collector said.
The Collector emphasized that filing complaints through this platform would guarantee a proper resolution, assuring people that, if needed, the entire administrative machinery would mobilize to address their concerns.
Following his directives, mandal special officers have also begun field visits to engage with petitioners and resolve their issues on-site.
