OnePlus Nord 2T will come as a successor of the Nord 2, which was launched last year in India.
OnePlus Nord 2T India launch date has been confirmed. The new OnePlus smartphone will launch soon in India with some iterative, yet key upgrades over the Nord 2. OnePlus will host a new launch event on May 19, where the company is expected to launch the Nord 2T.
OnePlus confirmed the launch through its YouTube channel, which confirmed the launch date. The video does not explicitly mention any details about the device launching on May 19. However, based on the recent launch and rumour mill updates, it is safe to say that the Nord 2T will launch in India on May 19.
The OnePlus Nord 2T was launched earlier this month in Nepal. It comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner for the front camera.
The Nord 2T comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. It is the first smartphone worldwide to debut with the new MediaTek chipset. The SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is no support for a microSD card or a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone packs a 4500 mAh battery. It comes with an upgraded 80W fast charging over the Nord 2’s 65W fast charging. It runs Android 12-based Oxygen OS 12 out of the box.
On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. There is a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, the Nord 2T has a 32MP front camera sensor.
Regarding the price, the Nord 2T was launched in Nepal for NPR 64,999, which is roughly Rs 40,600. We can expect the device’s price in India to be lower. Since the OnePlus 10R’s price in India starts at Rs 38,999, we can expect the Nord 2T to undercut it by some margin.
