Visitors to the Pallavaram Sub-Registrar Office flag lack of space, absence of basic amenities and a narrow road right outside with a built-in congestion problem
Visitors have raised concerns over severe space constraints and lack of basic amenities at the Pallavaram Sub-Registrar Office located in New Colony, Chromepet. The cramped premises not only delay registration procedures but also lead to crowds spilling onto the street, aggravating traffic congestion along the already narrow road.
Inadequate infrastructure
According to activist Rajendran, the Sub-Registrar Office on Second Main Road in New Colony is among the top revenue-generating registration zones in Tamil Nadu. Despite operating for more than two decades, the office continues to function from a small rented building with inadequate infrastructure.
“Authorities have been saying for years that the office will be shifted to a larger premises, but there has been no progress in this direction so far,” he said.
