Experts highlight need to stay abreast with emerging technologies

Join industry experts and students at Vizag Tech-Horizon to explore AI and Quantum Computing through workshops and knowledge sharing.
Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering, in association with Prajna Resources Pvt. Ltd., Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and the Council for Skills and Competencies, organised ‘Vizag Tech-Horizon-2026: A Convergence of Minds and Machines’, a symposium-cum-workshop on ‘Disruptive Technologies – AI and Quantum Computing’, here on Saturday.
The event focused on emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing, bringing together academicians, industry experts, and students for knowledge sharing and hands-on learning.
The programme began with the inaugural session chaired by president of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya Colleges Prof. K.C. Reddy, in the presence of secretary and correspondent Dr. G. Madhu Kumar.
The dignitaries emphasised the importance of equipping participants with skills in rapidly evolving technologies.
Mr. Praveen Garimella from the Indian School of Business delivered the keynote address on ‘The End of Knowledge, The Start of Wisdom’, highlighting the transformation of knowledge in the era of AI and data-driven innovation.
The workshop also featured hands-on sessions on AI and Quantum Computing, including Vibe Coding and JD Keyword Mapping by Dr. Anandswaroop (IIIT-Hyderabad) and ‘An Interactive Journey with IBM Composer: From Qubits to Circuits’ by Dr. G. Durgababu from RGUKT, Nuzvid, enabling participants to gain practical exposure to AI tools and quantum computing concepts.
