Netflix has launched its e-commerce store in the US that will roll out to users in other countries soon.
Building on its Over-The-Top service, Netflix has announced an exciting new way to monetise its content. The subscription-based streaming service has launched an online store to sell merchandise related to its favourite online shows. The e-commerce store by Netflix will sell limited-edition apparel, collectables and other merchandise based on shows like "Stranger Things," "Lupin", and more. The company announced the launch of the online store last week for its users in the US. Subsequent rollout in other countries is to start in the coming months. The new online store will be accessible online through Netflix.shop and will serve as a direct gateway for fans of Netflix shows to buy related products. Prior to this, merchandise related to select Netflix shows were sold through retail partners like Target and Walmart.
