Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the New Education Policy will be implemented in the state from April 1, 2022.
Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, on Friday, said that the state government will implement the New Education Policy, NEP-2020, from April 1, 2022. Under this, all the high schools will be upgraded to senior secondary schools. He added that this process will be completed by the end of March, next year. "The state government is gearing up to implement the New Education Policy (NEP) from April 1, 2022. Under NEP, all high schools would be upgraded to senior secondary school. The government would upgrade the academic infrastructure of the educational institutions for this purpose within a year," said the Chief Minister.
