
NEET PG 2022: Internship completion deadline for MBBS doctors now extended to July 31, NEET MDS may be postponed

NEET PG 2022: NBE has extended the internship completion deadline for MBBS doctors to July 31 instead of the earlier May 31. NEET MDS may also be postponed.
The National Board of Examinations, NBE, which conducts NEET exam has extended internship completion deadline for candidates who want to appear for NEET PG 2022.
The earlier deadline for MBBS students to complete their one-year mandatory internship period was May 31 and it has now been extended to July 31. Earlier, a lot of interns were ineligible for NEET PG 2022 as they would have been unable to complete their internship period before the exam registration.
NEET MDS 2022 which is held for admission to dental courses may also be postponed by four-to-six weeks now and preferably be held around the same date as NEET PG 2022. It is now scheduled for March 6.
The date for the completion of the compulsory internship period for admission to MDS courses has also been extended to July 31 as around 2500 interns would have been ineligible to appear for NEET MDS 2022 otherwise.
The official notice on the internship deadline for NEET PG 2022 can be checked on the official website natboard.edu.in. NEET PG 2022 will be held on May 21 after a six-to-eight-week postponement as decided post a Supreme Court hearing.
The official notice on the extension of the internship completion deadline reads, "In continuation of the NBEMS notice dated 04.02.2022 and pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India vide its letter no. F. No. U11011/06/2021-MEC dated 15.02.2022, the cut-off date for completion of internship for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-PG 2022 has been extended to 31.07.2022.”
“The cut-off for completion of internship as mentioned in the clause 4.1, 4.3, 4.10 and 13.2 of the information bulletin for NEET-PG 2022 should therefore be read accordingly," it added.
