NCPCR takes note of India Today report, asks DGP Karnataka to take action against DK Shivakumar

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has asked DGP Karnataka to take action against state Congress chief DK Shivakumar for interacting with school students without following Covid protocols during a padayatra campaign.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Monday issued a notice to Director General of Police (DGP) Karnataka seeking action against state Congress president DK Shivakumar for indulging school children in political activity and interacting with them without a mask. @NCPCR_ "has taken suo-moto cognizance of a video uploaded on twitter wherein it can be seen that KPCC President D.K Shivakumar met school children during the event “Mekedatu Padayatre”, thereby indulging children into political activity."@IndiaToday pic.twitter.com/3aXD2QEBNt
The NCPCR took cognizance of a tweet by India Today correspondent Nolan Pinto which had highlighted how Shivakumar, during the Congress party's padayatra campaign, had interaction with school students without following any Covid-19 protocols.
