Mumbai received light rains on Monday night and on Tuesday morning, which brought some respite to the Mumbaikars from the scorching heat. The city is likely to receive more light showers this week, India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Colaba observatory said.

Earlier this month, Mumbai was reeling under heatwave conditions and the pre-monsoon showers did bring some respite to the city dwellers. Thanks to all the incessant tweets and posts, #MumbaiRains booked a spot on the Twitter trends list.
