Supermodel and actor Milind Soman is an ardent fitness enthusiast. He often shares glimpses of his workout sessions with his fans and followers on Instagram. On World Health Day today, he urged his fans to follow a healthy lifestyle and even shared several easy tips that he follows to maintain good health.
Milind Soman shared a selfie with his wife Ankita Konwar and posted it with a rather long note. The caption was all about the importance of taking out time to exercise. “There is a famous quote from almost 300 years ago 'if you don't find time to exercise, you will have to find time to be sick' and this is even more relevant today. We are all born with certain strengths and weaknesses, physical and mental. Our habits, pollution, lifestyle, age, all play a part in making us stronger or weaker, most of it is our choice,” he wrote.
He then shared several tips that he swears by to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He urged his followers to eat simple and seasonal food. As for the exercise, he said that people can even start with 5 minutes each day.
“When it comes to food, eat simple, local and seasonal. Eat food made by someone you know well, or make it yourself. As far as exercise is concerned, start with even 5 minutes a day, at home, working on strength and mobility. Use the weight of your body and simple exercises to make yourself stronger. I travel almost 15 days a month. I exercise only 15-20 min every day, wherever I am, and people say I am really fit,” he wrote.
“To the ones who are making an effort to live better every day, I say more health and happiness to you. To those that say they are too busy to take care of their health, I say best of luck, you will need it,” he wrote while concluding the note.
Milind Soman’s wife Ankita Konwar also shared a special post on World Health Day. She shared an endearing picture with Milind and revealed that the couple’s common goal is to lead a healthy life.
Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar got married in 2018.
