Xiaomi's new Mi Pad 5 tablet is said to launch later this year with a 2K resolution screen and two variants featuring - Snapdragon 870 SoC on the regular model while the Pro with Dimensity 1200 SoC.
Xiaomi launched its last tablet back in June 2018, but the company may be preparing to revive its tab portfolio with the Mi Pad 5 this year. A leak from China claims that Xiaomi may launch its Mi Pad 5 in 2021 with powerful under the hood specs that could let it compete with the likes of iPad Pro, Apple's one of the top tablet offerings in the market. Some media reports from China had suggested earlier this year that the company has plans to launch a new Xiaomi tablet, and the latest leak seems to corroborate that info. The latest leak comes from Weibo, the Twitter equivalent in China, where a tipster who goes by the name @Panda has shared some details about the new Mi Pad 5 tablet. As per the Weibo post, the Mi Pad 5 may be powered by Snapdragon 870 processor and feature a 10.95-inch LCD display with a 2K screen resolution. Additionally, the Mi Pad 5 is said to come with a 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The tipster adds that China Star Optoelectronics and BOE are supplying the screen.
