The Mega Millions jackpot continued to climb ahead of the March 24 drawing, reaching an estimated $60 million with a $27 million cash option.
If someone were to get lucky on Tuesday and win the jackpot, they’ll have two options: take home a one-time, lump-sum cash payment or receive an immediate payment followed by annual checks, each 5% larger than the previous year.
The drawing comes just a week after the second Mega Million jackpot of 2026, when a ticket matched all six numbers for a $60 million prize. That win followed a massive $536 million jackpot claimed by an Illinois player on March 10.
According to Mega Millions, the March 17 win marked the shortest time between jackpots since August 2023.
