USA TODAY
The Powerball jackpot is up to $120 million for the lottery drawing on Saturday, March 21. Do you have the winning numbers?
The Powerball jackpot climbed to $120 million — with a cash value of $54.4 million — ahead of Saturday’s March 21 drawing, giving players another shot at a big payday.
Lottery officials say the jackpot has been hit nearly 200 times since the game launched in 1992, and tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The only states that don’t participate are Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah.
Some states have been luckier than others. Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin top the list for producing the most Powerball jackpot winners over the years.
The most recent Powerball jackpot was won Monday, March 2, when a player in Arkansas matched all six numbers to win $251 million. That winner can choose between annuity payments spread over 30 years or a one‑time lump sum of about $118 million. As of now, the prize has not yet been claimed.
Here is what you need to know about Saturday’s drawing.
