Honda is recalling more than 19,000 motorcycles, according to a notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall for the Honda motorcycles is due to a fault in the bikes’ handlebar screw, which the notice says could become loose and come off the bike, lodging itself between the frame and stem, “interfering with steering and increasing the risk of a crash or injury.”
“Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KUO,” the recall said.
Owners of the impacted vehicles are expected to receive notification letters on May 8, according to the notice. Impacted motorcycles will have their lock screw and thread locks applied by dealers, free of charge.
