Actors Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi opened up about their intense on-set chemistry while filming Wuthering Heights. They admitted it was hard shooting scenes without each other.
Actors Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi have spoken candidly about the strong bond they developed while shooting the upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. The pair discussed how their on-screen partnership translated into a real-life chemistry that influenced the atmosphere on set.
Both actors admitted that their connection made it challenging to film scenes with other colleagues.
In a recent conversation for Vogue Australia, Jacob expressed his discomfort with working in Margot's absence. "I really didn’t like shooting when Margot wasn’t there," to which Margot replied, "I hated shooting when you weren’t there."
She added that seeing Jacob perform with other co-stars sometimes triggered a bit of possessiveness. "I was like, this is just not right," she said, adding humorously, "Love them more than anything. But I was like, he’s mine!"
The pair's chemistry appeared to influence the overall environment on set, with both the actors referring to a sense of separation anxiety when required to film with other actors, such as Shazad Latif or Alison Oliver.
Margot further reflected on her approach to workplace relationships and noted how quickly she forms close bonds with collaborators. "I’m so co-dependent with people I work with, and I love everyone so much, and I’m always that person who’s so devastated when a job’s over and I never want it to end," she shared. She also noted, "I think I developed that quite quickly with Jacob, too."
