
Major General Arun C.G. new Additional Director General of NCC Kerala and Lakshadweep region

Major General Arun C.G. appointed as Additional Director General of NCC for Kerala and Lakshadweep, showcasing extensive military experience.
Major General Arun C.G. has taken charge as the new Additional Director General (ADG), National Cadet Corps (NCC), Kerala and Lakshadweep region.
Maj. Gen. Arun, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram, has previously commanded the Army Brigade at Pangode here. As Commander of 91 Infantry Brigade, he had displayed exemplary leadership in handling the flood situation in Kerala in 2018 and was awarded the Presidential Award of Vishisht Seva Medal, a defence spokesperson said.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, he has also qualified in various military courses from the Defence Services Staff College, the Army War College and the National Defence College.
An officer from the 1991 batch of the Indian Army, he was commissioned into 20th Battalion of the Kumaon Regiment. In a career spanning 34 years, he has served across a wide spectrum of command, staff and instructional appointments. He has also held important assignments in the Military Secretary’s Branch, Military Operations Directorate, in addition to multiple tenures in Rashtriya Rifles.
