Major box office collection Day 9: Adivi Sesh's film scores well in the US

Adivi Sesh is clearly on cloud nine now following the stupendous success of his latest film, Major. The film has not only created records in India but also in overseas markets. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film has been raking in the moolah for the past nine days. According to trade reports, the film is also giving stiff competition to Kamal Haasan's Vikram and Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj. Well, it is also doing well in the international borders too, especially in the USA. Major has been receiving overwhelming reviews for the portrayal of the army and late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
Director Sashi Kiran Tikka's Major is a biopic based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The inspiring tale is now brought to life by the Major team. It is quite unusual for an Indian film to cross 1 million dollars (INR 6.5 crore) at US theatres. However, Major did it! The Adivi Sesh-starrer has earned more than $ 1 million at the US box office. In the first week in cinemas worldwide, 'Major' reportedly grossed over Rs 42.5 crore and has earned the blockbuster tag.
The cast of Major includes Adivi Sesh, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revthi, Murali Sharma and Anish Kuruvilla. The film is jointly produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, G Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies.
