Mahesh Babu's SSMB 28 to go on floors in September: Reports

SSMB 288 is reportedly set to go on floors in the second week of September. It marks Mahesh Babu's third collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas.

Mahesh Babu is inarguably one of the busiest stars in the Telugu film industry, The Super Star will soon be turning his attention to SSMB 28, which reunites him with filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas. The film, slated to hit the screens on April 28, 2023, has already become the talk of the town for the right reasons. Now, here is an update about the biggie. According to reports, SSMB 28 is expected to go on floors in the second week of September.

Mahesh Babu, last seen in the action entertainer Sarkaru Vaari Paata, is set to reunite with Trivikram Srinivas for SSMB 28. This will be their third film after Athadu and Khaleja. As per the latest report, SSMB 28's regular shooting is likely to begin in the second week of September. There's, however, no official word on the same. Interestingly, Mahesh had a few days ago started training for the film.

Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas first joined hands for the action drama Athadu (2005), which emerged as a sensational hit at the box office. The actioner starred Trisha, Sonu Sood, Nassar, and Rahul Dev, among others. The actor and the Trivikram later reunited for Khaleja (2010), which not do as well as expected. It remains to be seen whether SSMB 28 proves to be a sweet outing for this combination's fans. It stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and is her second movie with Mahesh Babu after Maharshi (2019). SSMB 28 is expected to feature an action packed second half. The pre-interval portions, on the other hand, are likely to feature romantic sequences. SSMB is set to open in theatres on April 28, 2023,

Mahesh Babu, meanwhile is going through a busy phase on the work front, He will be teaming up with SS Rajamouli for an action-adventure drama. The star recently said that he hopes to break barriers with the RRR director's latest magnum opus.
