Kangana Ranaut has praised Aditya Dhar as a “superstar director” following the massive success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. She highlighted Dhar’s vision and leadership, emphasising the recognition Indian filmmakers deserve but rarely receive.
She wrote on her Instagram story, “The best thing about Dhurandhar’s success is that Aditya Dhar, @adityadharfilms, a superstar director, is established. Hollywood superstar directors are always far bigger than superstar actors. Eg: Spielberg, Tarantino, Nolan (sic).”
Kangana also spoke about the struggles of filmmakers in India, noting that directors, technicians, and other behind-the-scenes talents are often overworked, underpaid, and undervalued.
She added, “Here is a superstar filmmaker shining brighter than any hero. Today, so many youngsters are watching his story who will aspire to be like him and take the film industry to greater heights!! Salutations, sir @adityadharfilms (sic).”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a high-stakes geopolitical action thriller featuring Ranveer Singh as Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari, who infiltrates Pakistan’s terror-criminal network. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
Released worldwide on March 19, the film has received thunderous acclaim at the box office, making its place as one of the year’s biggest cinematic successes.
